HOW TO MAKE A HOLLY WREATH THIS CHRISTMAS!
Make your own Holly Wreath this Christmas for your home or to give as a present following the below steps or watch the video below!
What you need…
- A grapevine frame or a wire frame or a floral foam ring - available from garden centres, florists and craft shops
- Garden shears
- Rubber bands
- Green garden wire
- Bright red bow
- A pinecone
- And lots of creativity to make your wreath special!
What to do…
- Use the shears to cut the holly to approx. 8 inches. Remove any dried, old, blackened berries.
- Use the rubber bands to tie the holly stems into bunches. Make sure to have the stem with the most berries facing the front!
- Use the garden wire to tie the bunches of holly securely to the frame. Make sure all the leaves face the same direction, either clockwise or anti clockwise. Use the leaves to ensure that the rubber bands are hidden and that there are no gaps showing.
- Decide where the top of your wreath will be. Use the garden wire to make a loop on the back side of the wreath so you can hang it up. And using the wire, tie the pinecone to the red bow and then attach the bow to the wreath.
