Supporting National Tree Day
Glennon Brothers & the Tree Council of Ireland
National Tree Day is proudly supported by Glennon Brothers, whose partnership with the Tree Council of Ireland helps bring National Tree Day to primary schools across Ireland.
Now supporting National Tree Day for a second year, Glennon Brothers' support enables 2,000 free Scots Pine saplings, along with educational resources and activities, to be provided to primary schools nationwide.
Together, the Tree Council of Ireland and Glennon Brothers want to encourage children to discover more about trees and forests, how they grow, the wildlife they support, the role they play in storing carbon, and why planting and caring for trees today matters for the future.

Over 100 Years of Forestry & Timber
Glennon Brothers is a third-generation Irish family business, established in Longford in 1913.
For more than a century, the company has worked in forestry and timber and today supplies home-grown timber products to the construction and home-improvement sectors, with manufacturing facilities across Ireland and Scotland.
Its connection with trees doesn't end when a tree is harvested. Sustainable forestry involves renewing forests through planting and replanting, while timber itself is a renewable natural resource that can continue to store carbon when it is used in products and buildings.
From Forest to Front Door

Growing trees capture carbon, provide habitats for wildlife and support biodiversity. When forests are managed and renewed, they can also provide timber — a renewable natural resource that can be used in the homes and communities of the future.

It's all part of understanding that planting a tree is just the beginning. Trees need to be cared for as they grow, forests need to be renewed, and the choices we make today can have benefits long into the future.
